The Faulkner Island Tern camera is a partnership with Menunkatuck Audubon Society, The Stewart B. McKinney Wildlife Preserve (McKinney NWR), and Faulkner’s Light Brigade. Funded by a grant from the Guilford Foundation the Webcam records activities of seals and birds on the rocky north spit of the island. Faulkner’s Photo Contest
At our September open house photographer buffs were invited to tour the island, shoot pictures and enter there photos in the Annual Faulkner’s Island open house contest. The weather was very cooperative and the sunset beautiful as you can see from the winning photos. Photos were submitted to the Faulkners Light Brigade Board of Directors for selection of the winners.
